ISOFIX, LATCH bracket

/

ISOFIX, LATCH brackets are required for some seats to be used in certain vehicles without the proper restraints. This is typically the multi passenger vans and some older vehicles. Most car seat require a 3 point latching.

Some vehicles in the Philippines lack the proper restraints found in some western countries. This is the only way to make some car seats mount properly.

Examples of vehicles. Toyota HiAce, Nissan NV350 and similar. These only use lap belts. Older vehicles and those with no ISOFIX and no locking seat belts.

Locking seat belts. Some vehicles only use emergency locking seat belts, that locks during an emergency (hard braking or during an accident). Locking seat belts will lock like a ratchet when retracted. Pull the seat belt all the way out and you will hear a clicking sound, then pull back multiple times, it will not release.
